What do you like most about working at NPC:  One of my greatest joys in ministry is meeting people and seeing them connect in significant relationships with God and each other.  I enjoy helping to create the environments for that to happen.

What inspires me? A couple of things: First and foremost, I am inspired when I see lives changed by the power of Christ.  There is nothing greater!   On a more surface level, I am inspired by home improvement/renovation projects.  I could do that all day!

Recommended Reading:  I recommend the classics: Knowing God, J.I Packer ; The Valley of Vision – a collection of Puritan Prayers and Devotions.  I love reading and learning from contemporaries like Ed Young, Craig Groeschel,  Andy Stanley and Tommy Nelson and highly recommend Necessary Endings by Dr. Henry Cloud for anyone in leadership.

Favorite Restaurant:  I am a fan of Outback Steakhouse (Delmonico Steak or Alice Springs Chicken). For seafood I recommend Woody’s lump crab cakes and for Italian, I would choose Sam’s Italian Restaurant in Quarryville for Lasagna.  But honestly, (and I know this sounds like I want something) I love my wife’s cooking the best!

Most embarrassing moment :  I was walking down the isle of the church and saw a friend seated on the end of the pew. I walked up behind her and affectionally pulled her hair as I walked by and then turned to give her a greeting only to discover that it was a first-time visitor.  Lesson: Never judge someone from the rear!

What is your heart for the Church: I love the local church! My heart is to see the local church as a contagious culture of acceptance, growth and service functioning not only in a building, but in the community and around the world.
